Paf is a Nordic gaming company owned by the Government of Åland (an autonomous region of Finland). Founded in 1966 by the Red Cross, Save the Children, and a public health organization, Paf distributes all its profits to benefit society.
Paf decided to give all employees the opportunity to donate to various good causes, initiatives, and projects. The causes were selected through a nomination and voting process by the employees. 2024 marked the second consecutive year the company offered its employees the chance to make donations.
All Paf employees were invited to nominate initiatives they felt were worthy of Paf's €125,000 donation. After the nomination process, employees voted to determine which initiatives would receive the funds and how the amount would be distributed among the selected projects. When employees gathered in December for the annual Christmas speech, the vote results decided how the €125,000 would be allocated. The employee vote awarded the largest donation of €40,000 to causes supporting Ukraine, followed by €25,000 for cancer-related initiatives and €15,000 for combating child abuse.
In the "Causes for Ukraine" category, the Hospitallers, a volunteer paramedic organization saving lives in Ukraine, were among the recipients. We are deeply grateful for the generous donation of 8000 EUR to support paramedic needs.
Every contribution is vital to their life-saving mission, and with this support, paramedics can continue their important work. Let’s come together to help and support the Hospitallers. For the sake of every life!
